Caterpillar is a
hairy word
with its column of
legs
undulating silkily
like water,
a concertina of
soft and boneless balloons
pillaging Edens,
eating, secreting
and sleeping
one long night
with no mortal
remains,
without urn or
cemetery
catapulting into
butterfly.
